ANSWERING THE BIBLE:
Q. What did Judah and his men do to Adoni-bezek after he fled?
Ans: They chased him, captured him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes

Let us look at the following verses:
21st Century King James Version:
Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, "Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?"
2And the LORD said, "Judah shall go up. Behold, I have delivered the land into his hand."
3And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, "Come up with me into my allotment, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot." So Simeon went with him.
4And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand, and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.
5And they found Adonibezek in Bezek; and they fought against him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
6But Adonibezek fled; and they pursued after him and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes.
7And Adonibezek said, "Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table. As I have done, so God hath requited me." And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died. [Judges 1:1-7].
New Living Translation:
1 After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, “Which tribe should go first to attack the Canaanites?”
2 The Lord answered, “Judah, for I have given them victory over the land.”
3 The men of Judah said to their relatives from the tribe of Simeon, “Join with us to fight against the Canaanites living in the territory allotted to us. Then we will help you conquer your territory.” So the men of Simeon went with Judah.
4 When the men of Judah attacked, the Lord gave them victory over the Canaanites and Perizzites, and they killed 10,000 enemy warriors at the town of Bezek. 5 While at Bezek they encountered King Adoni-bezek and fought against him, and the Canaanites and Perizzites were defeated. 6 Adoni-bezek escaped, but the Israelites soon captured him and cut off his thumbs and big toes.
7 Adoni-bezek said, “I once had seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off, eating scraps from under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them.” They took him to Jerusalem, and he died there. [Judges 1: 1-7]
 Common English Bible:
1 After Joshua’s death, the Israelites asked the LORD, “Who should go up first to fight for us against the Canaanites?”
2 The LORD said, “The tribe of Judah will go up. I’ve handed over the land to them.”
3 So the tribe of Judah said to the tribe of Simeon, their brothers, “Come up with us into our territory, and let’s fight against the Canaanites. Then we’ll go with you into your territory too.” So Simeon went with them.
4 When Judah went up, the LORD handed them the Canaanites and Perizzites. They defeated ten thousand men at Bezek. 5 There they found Adoni-bezek at Bezek, fought against him, and defeated the Canaanites and Perizzites. 6 Adoni-bezek fled, but they chased after him, captured him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes. 7 He said, “Seventy kings with severed thumbs and big toes used to pick up scraps under my table, so God has paid me back exactly for what I did.” They brought him to Jerusalem, where he died. [Judges 1: 1-7]
New Century Version:
1 After Joshua died, the Israelites asked the Lord, "Who will be first to go and fight for us against the Canaanites?"
2 The Lord said to them, "The tribe of Judah will go. I have handed the land over to them."
3 The men of Judah said to the men of Simeon, their relatives, "Come and help us fight the Canaanites for our land. If you do, we will go and help you fight for your land." So the men of Simeon went with them.
4 When Judah attacked, the Lord handed over the Canaanites and the Perizzites to them, and they defeated ten thousand men at the city of Bezek.5 There they found Adoni-Bezek, the ruler of the city, and fought him. The men of Judah defeated the Canaanites and the Perizzites,6 but Adoni-Bezek ran away. The men of Judah chased him, and when they caught him, they cut off his thumbs and big toes.
7 Adoni-Bezek said, "Seventy kings whose thumbs and big toes had been cut off used to eat scraps that fell from my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them." The men of Judah took Adoni-Bezek to Jerusalem, and he died there. [Judges 1: 1-7].

Does the Bible makes you sick with such wanton cruelty, like cutting of thumbs and big toes, of a escaping worrier (a fleeing enemy); who ultimately dies. Was he tortured to death according to God's wish?

Q. What did Judah and his men do to the city of Jerusalem after they captured it ?
Ans: They set the city on fire.

Let us now at the following verses:
21st Century King James Version:
8Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it and smitten it with the edge of the sword and set the city on fire. [Judges 1:8]
New Living Translation:
8 The men of Judah attacked Jerusalem and captured it, killing all its people and setting the city on fire.[Judges 1:8]
Common English Bible:
8 The people of Judah fought against Jerusalem and captured it. They killed its people with their swords and set the city on fire. [Judges 1: 8]
New Century Version:
8 Then the men of Judah fought against Jerusalem and captured it. They attacked with their swords and burned the city. [Judges 1: 8].

Great!! Setting a whole city on fire, (according to God's wishes??!!), killing all its people...................Jerusalem Massacred, by the men of Judah..!!
