ANSWERING THE BIBLE:

Q. Does the God of the Bible get angry when the Israelites rejected him and decided to worship other Gods? What did the God of the Bible do then?
Ans: Yes. The anger of the LORD was so great against Israelites (for  Unfaithfulness) that he sold them into the hands of their enemies.

To understand this let us go through the following verses:
21st Century King James Version:
10And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers, and there arose another generation after them who knew not the LORD nor yet the works which He had done for Israel.
11And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baalim.
12And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, the gods of the people who were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
13And they forsook the LORD and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
14And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and He delivered them into the hands of despoilers who despoiled them, and He sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
15Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them; and they were greatly distressed. (Judges 2:10-15) (See Judges 3:8, 4:2, 6:1, and 10:7 where he sells them again).
English Standard Version:
10And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD or the work that he had done for Israel.
Israel’s Unfaithfulness:
11 And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals. 12 And they abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed down to them. And they provoked the LORD to anger. 13They abandoned the LORD and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth. 14 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he gave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. And he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, so that they could no longer withstand their enemies. 15Whenever they marched out, the hand of the LORD was against them for harm, as the LORD had warned, and as the LORD had sworn to them. And they were in terrible distress. (Judges 2:10-15) (See Judges 3:8, 4:2, 6:1, and 10:7 where he sells them again).
New Century Version:
The People Disobey:
10 After those people had died, their children grew up and did not know the Lord or what he had done for Israel.11 So they did what the Lord said was wrong, and they worshiped the Baal idols.12 They quit following the Lord, the God of their ancestors who had brought them out of Egypt. They began to worship the gods of the people who lived around them, and that made the Lord angry.13 The Israelites quit following the Lord and worshiped Baal and Ashtoreth.14 The Lord was angry with the people of Israel, so he handed them over to robbers who took their possessions. He let their enemies who lived around them defeat them; they could not protect themselves.15 When the Israelites went out to fight, they always lost, because the Lord was not with them. The Lord had sworn to them this would happen. So the Israelites suffered very much. (Judges 2:10-15) (See Judges 3:8, 4:2, 6:1, and 10:7 where he sells them again).
Holman Christian Standard Bible:
10 That whole generation was also gathered to their ancestors. After them another generation rose up who did not know the LORD or the works He had done for Israel.
11 The Israelites did what was evil in the LORD's sight. They worshiped the Baals 12 and abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of Egypt. They went after other gods from the surrounding peoples and bowed down to them. They infuriated the LORD, 13 for they abandoned Him and worshiped Baal and the Ashtoreths.
14 The LORD's anger burned against Israel, and He handed them over to marauders who raided them. He sold them to [g] the enemies around them, so that they could no longer resist their enemies. 15 Whenever theIsraelites went out, the LORD [h] was against them and brought disaster [on them], just as He had promised and sworn to them. So they suffered greatly.  (Judges 2:10-15) (See Judges 3:8, 4:2, 6:1, and 10:7 where he sells them again).

Notes:
g:Judges 2:14 Lit into the hand of
h:Judges 2:15 Lit the hand of the LORD.

So the Lord sells Israelites for the crime of worshipping other Gods--intolerance in full form in the Bible. But what price did He sell ? Did the God of the Bible get a good price…..Huh!!

Q. What did the God of the Bible tell the Israelites to do before he went on a killing spree of the Egyptian children? What did the God tell, to make this day?
Ans: The God of the Bible asked the Israelites to smear some blood on their doors; so that while he is going around, killing Egyptian children, he might remember not to kill their children too. He asked them to make it a feasting day.

To understand this let us consider the following verses:
21st Century King James Version:
12For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.
14"`And this day shall be unto you for a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. (Exodus 12: 12-14).
English Standard Version:
12For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.
13 The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
14"This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast. (Exodus 12: 12-14).
New Century Version:
12 "That night I will go through the land of Egypt and kill all the firstborn animals and people in the land of Egypt. I will also punish all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.13 But the blood will be a sign on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. Nothing terrible will hurt you when I punish the land of Egypt.
14 "You are always to remember this day and celebrate it with a feast to the Lord. Your descendants are to honor the Lord with this feast from now on. (Exodus 12: 12-14).
New Living Translation:
12 On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord! 13 But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.
14 “This is a day to remember. Each year, from generation to generation, you must celebrate it as a special festival to the Lord. This is a law for all time. (Exodus 12: 12-14).

Please look at this ghastly line: "I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast"--the God of the Bible does not spare the "Firstborns". Can such violent actions, by the God of the Bible give us peace? Ask yourself...!!
