Did the ace south Indian actress Nayantara convert to Hinduism: A different angle:

Just recently, a sensation of sorts happened when heroine Nayantara was reported as becoming a Hindu.
While the reasons for the decision could be anything, the truth is Nayan has not converted to Hinduism.
Well, logically speaking, that’s not possible since Hinduism is not a religion but more like a ‘way of living’.
Even Swami Vivekananda had said that Hinduism is just a way of life and there is no process called conversion in it to Mr Palmer, a denizen of Detroit way back in 1893.
Coming to Nayan, the apt way to describe her initiative is she has ‘adopted’ Hinduism. The doctrines of Hinduism say one is born a Hindu or not. There is no system called conversion and religious tolerance with flexibility has always been high in this community. So folks.. Nayantara is definitely a Hindu but not a converted Hindu.
There is no process like Baptism in Hinduism. Even Hindusim never asks for name change as there are many Lenins, Newtons (one is the famous regression therapist) and Mastans in Hinduism. This is not to question the faith of Nayan but a simple analysis which proves that no one can ‘convert’ to Hinduism but ‘adopt’ it completely
