Mangalore Pub incident and moral policing...
Did we forget what Ms.Usha Uthoop had to face in order to survive in communist Kolkata? She is a classic case of Communists Bengal’s cultural genocidal attitude. This is how Calcutta (now Kolkata) lost most of their very talented Anglo-Indian singers and musicians community, who fled to Australia in hordes.
It is pity that these "Ghatia Commnists" talk of Moral Policing!!
Besides, P R Dasmunsi of Congress banned AXN for two months because it showed a programme on the World’s Sexiest Ads, which was “against good taste or decency and likely to adversely affect public morality”. A month later, Dasmunsi banned FTV for two months for pretty much the same reasons. The trigger was a programme called Midnight Hot, which showed “skimpily dressed and semi-naked models”.
At that time a news channel head said on condition of anonymity, “I don’t see why we are surprised a Congress government is playing moral police. All parties want to control a powerful medium like television......."
While there can be many definitions what moral policing could be, but I think no one cannot exactly define what is moral policing, considering the abstractness of the subject, which it encompasses.
Leaving aside this often used the most "misunderstood term", let us not confuse this with a similar term which is used in Saudi Arabia, the Mutaween (Arabic: مطوعين‎ muṭawiʿiyn; variant English spellings: mutawwain, muttawa, mutawallees, mutawa’ah, mutawi’, mutawwa').
So let us see what is this version of Moral Police we have in Saudi Arabia, and compare them to the activities of Shree Ram Sena or where Shree Ram stands as compared these Mutaween in some Islamic countries.
The Mutaween means "subjugated people" in Arabic is commonly used as a casual term for the government-authorized or -recognized religious police (or clerical police) of Saudi Arabia. More recently the term gained use as an umbrella term outside the Arab-speaking world to indicate religious-policing organizations in Islamic countries with at least some government recognition or deference, who enforce varied interpretations of Sharia Law.
The Mutaween in Saudi Arabia are tasked with enforcing Sharia as defined by the government, specifically by the Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (CPVPV).
The Mutaween of the CPVPV consists of "more than 3,500 officers in addition to thousands of volunteers...often accompanied by a police escort." They have the power to arrest unrelated males and females caught socializing, anyone engaged in homosexual behavior or prostitution; to enforce Islamic dress-codes, and store closures during the prayer time.
They enforce Muslim dietary laws, prohibit the consumption or sale of alcoholic beverages and pork, and seize banned consumer products and media regarded as un-Islamic (such as CDs/DVDs of various Western musical groups, television shows and film).
Additionally, they actively prevent the practice or proselytizing of other religions within Saudi Arabia, where they are banned. BUT DO SHREE RAM SENA OR VHP DO THE SAME IN INDIA?? YES UR ANSWER IS RIGHT....IT IS A BLATANT NO....
Among the things the Mutaween have been criticized or ridiculed for include, use of
flogging to punish violators, banning Valentines Day gifts, arresting priests for saying Mass, and being staffed by "ex-convicts whose only job qualification was that they had memorized the Quran in order to reduce their sentences." Yes we find one similarity in some right wing Hindu Groups, as regards Valentine Day celebrations.
Perhaps the most serious and widely criticized incident attributed to them occurred on March 11, 2002, when they prevented schoolgirls from escaping a burning school in Mecca, because the girls were not wearing headscarves and abayas (black robes), and not accompanied by a male guardian. Fifteen girls died and 50 were injured as a result. Widespread public criticism followed, both internationally and within Saudi Arabia.
In August 2008, a young Saudi woman who had converted to Christianity was burned to death after having her tongue cut out by her own father, a member of the Committee.
Religious police were very active and powerful in Afghanistan during the 1996-2001 reign of the Taliban, which also established a Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice. Although commonly referred to as "munkrat" not "mutaween", the Afghan Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice was based at least in part on the Saudi mutaween - because Saudi Arabia was a major funder of the Taliban (So you understood who is the real sponsorer of "Jihadi/Islamic Terrorism" throughout the world. It is to be noted that the UPA Government called top officials from Saudi Arabai, to help solve the Mumbai Tragedy: " If there is ghost in the medicine, will the medicine work??").
Its police enforcement of Sharia was one of the main activities of the Taliban regime during this time and was even stricter than that of the Saudi Mutaween.
NOW THIS IS THE GENERAL FACE OF THE MORAL POLICE OR THE RELIGIOUS POLICE ACROSS THE GLOBE. The nature of policing varies but the ultimately the goal is same, to rein in the minds and to cripple the activities which they think is immoral. In India there are some groups of Ultra-conscious citizens who are just violent protestors and I do not know whether they can be called "Moral Police or not". It is because if illicit activities are going inside a pub for a long time and if police is not taking action inspite of local complaints, then there is bound to be some outbust. Now if some group goes for violent protest, this is just a natural form of uncontrolled outburst. However, taking of law by anyone in his own hands should not be encouraged as this could lead to anarchy.
Now let us focus on the Mangalore pub incident, where there were illicit things going inside the pub (may be a form of prostitution, which is common in large cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, etc.), when the police did not take any action, may be under the influence of bribes or may be due to other reasons best known to the administration.
Mangalore Incident: A group of young boys, starts violent protest inside the bar leading to some scuffle and assault on boys and girls who were (may be) indulging in some illicit activities apart from drinking.
THE VIOLENT METHODS USED SHOULD BE CONDEMNED BY ALL AND THERE IS NO ISSUE ON THIS FRONT.
But look what happened next, media starts showing the same footage again and again, highlighting the virtues of a free society, where alcoholism and prostitution goes hand in hand.
Then we learnt a lot from these media faces and from some of the best known faces like Ms.Brinda Karat who lectured us that, "Not drinking Alcohol, is a regressive way of living". Oh ho.....!!! I forget to call the publisher who asked to me to find learned persons for his "New Encyclopedia Indiaca" catering to Vote-Bank Politics.
This over zealousness of the media raised lot of eye-brows. Some frowns where so long long that Eye-brows touched the skulls. I then thought to raise my voice against this blatent violition of human rights by the media, by encouraging alcholism among the masses.
But, then the "indecent dances" by the media continued, in front of 100 crore population, as if we are to learn from these guys in the media what we should do and what we should not.
But what is more appaling is that Muslim Clerics who talk of "Quaran" and its virtues at the fall of a hat did not comment anything on promotion of alcohol, because there was " Ram and a Sena" involved in the name of that organisation. Some Muslims (From the name which were scrolling on the screens) I saw even outrightly condemned the incident on NDTV Ltd......
What they should have done is that: They should have said that we do not promote alcoholism and prostitution in bars but we condemn the voilence used n the incidence. That would have upheld the Indian Secularism, but then when were Mullahs Secular---they cannot, as it goes against the basic tenants of Islam.
Next more interesting thing happened, the NCW, gave a strong statement they are sending a team to asses the situation in Mangalore, where "girls were being beaten up". Aha, very Sexy, in thought and texture. So what about the boys who were also assaulted black and blue?? It seems there were no takers for the story of beating the boys, in the hands of Shree Sena activists--very sorry state.
Then the rukus started to show how much can one appease non-Hindus for vote Bank Politics. Everyone politician except those from BJP and its allies spoke of atrocities against the girls without even mentioning how the boys are recovering after that trauma....and the media cameras rolled and rolled and rolled transmitting every byte of this great finale. Strange isn't it..?? The height of this drama was enacted when Chameleon Number one (CN.1) asked the boys of Shree Ram Sena, to clean the drains and toilet of those girls who were indulging in alcoholism at such a tender age or might be doing some illicit things inside the bar, without the knowledge of their parents.
The day passed and then Times Now, suddenly came up with a long list of papers in which some criminal charges were framed against Mr.Mutalik, the Shree Ram Sena Spremo, long back. This is just to create confusion and diversion from the main issue, because media was now on a back foot. Hence this diversion technique was used by the Times of India Group's Times Now.
But we know the History of Times of India, pre-independence era. It is to be understood in this context that, Lord Curzon had won the editorial backing of the pro-colonial Times of India in his attempts at furthering the British domination of the Indian education system. So we can imagine what Times Now stands for or will show us or to the country--in an unbiased fashion. They are the bania group and will do everything to earn money like they did in the colonial India. Recently they refused to publish my letter to editor (even with edition), because that could have been exposed in their own turf.
Now coming to NDTV Ltd, which as deep roots in Communist Ideology, with Dr.Roy, spending a good part of his life abroad. Also I am not sure if his mother is a British or not. Hence we can understand his love for India and can be compared with the love of Sonia Maino (Gandhi) towards India. The Communists which shout from the top of their voice every time certain things happen in this country or are NOT done by their "Cadres", forget the face of another breed of ultra-communists, "Naxals or Mao-ists". These "Communist-terrorists" are responsible for large scale loss of human lives in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, etc. One estimate showed that these Communist-Terrorist, killed at least 12, 000 people in India after independence alone. So I laugh when these "spineless and odourless" political party speak of "Terrorism and Moral Policing".
Have these "Chameleons" forgot how their eminent party people, behaved irresponsibly towards the "Disco songs" of Usha Uthoop, in 1980s. The incident was highlighted by a number of Kolkata based newspapers including the noted Bengali daily, "Ananda Bazar Patrika", at that time that.
Yes, communists are the best chameleons that "Marx and Angles, manufactured which were then given fangs by Lenin and ferocity/barbarity by Stalin. Those who have seen the Naxalite movement in West Bengal in early 1970s, know what these communists stand for.....
Veteran Naxalite leader and the CPI-ML general secretary, Mr Kanu Sanyal earlier expressed support towards the agitation in the Darjeeling hills demanding a separate Gorkhaland state. The Maoist leader said, his party had favoured the Gorkhaland demand earlier and supports it as well. “The Nepalis in Darjeeling have got every right to self-rule and the demand for Gorkhaland is very genuine.
India is always a soft state without any strategy, without any policy and even it does not react but always give in to the demands by its neighbouring countries. In similar circumstances in 1950s when large numbers of Indians were settled in Burma and Sri Lanka, they got expelled and India had accepted them back without protests. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh have expelled almost all non-Muslims.
Indian UPA Government is looking at the other side when the Tamils are getting Killed Sri Lanka or is being made second class citizens, there. India is sending its own troops to assist the Sri Lankan army in gunning down LTTE....in the process killing innocent civilians.
What is height is that Indian Government can send aid to Gaza Victims but nothing to the Sri Lankan Tamils who lost everything having caught in between the war between the warring factions.....
Anyway, what happens next, .....Coming Up.......Keep a watch on this page......
Muslims Puzzled Over Obama's Present Religious Status
How do Muslims see Barack Hussein Obama? They have three choices: either as he presents himself – someone who has "never been a Muslim" and has "always been a Christian"; or as a fellow Muslim; or as an apostate from Islam.
Reports suggests that while Americans generally view the Democratic candidate having had no religion before converting at Reverend Jeremiah Wrights's hands at age 27, Muslims the world over rarely see him as Christian but usually as either Muslim or ex-Muslim.
Lee Smith of the Hudson Institute explains why: "Barack Obama's father was Muslim and therefore, according to Islamic law, so is the candidate. In spite of the Quranic verses explaining that there is no compulsion in religion, a Muslim child takes the religion of his or her father. … for Muslims around the world, non-American Muslims at any rate, they can only ever see Barack Hussein Obama as a Muslim." In addition, his school record from Indonesia lists him as a Muslim.
Thus, an Egyptian newspaper, Al-Masri al-Youm, refers to his "Muslim origins." Libyan ruler Mu‘ammar al-Qaddafi referred to Obama as "a Muslim" and a person with an "African and Islamic identity." One Al-Jazeera analysis calls him a "non-Christian man," a second refers to his "Muslim Kenyan" father, and a third, by Naseem Jamali, notes that "Obama may not want to be counted as a Muslim but Muslims are eager to count him as one of their own."
A conversation in Beirut, quoted in the Christian Science Monitor, captures the puzzlement. "He has to be good for Arabs because he is a Muslim," observed a grocer. "He's not a Muslim, he's a Christian," replied a customer. Retorted the grocer: "He can't be a Christian. His middle name is Hussein." Arabic discussions of Obama sometimes mention his middle name as a code, with no further comment needed.
Some American Muslim leaders also perceive Obama as Muslim. The president of the Islamic Society of North America, Sayyid M. Syeed, told Muslims at a conference in Houston that ........his candidacy will reinforce that Muslim children can "become the presidents of this country." The Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan called Obama "the hope of the entire world" and compared him to his religion's founder, Fard Muhammad.
But this excitement also has a dark side – suspicions that Obama is a traitor to his birth religion, an apostate (murtadd) from Islam. Al-Qaeda has prominently featured Obama's stating "I am not a Muslim" and one analyst, Shireen K. Burki of the University of Mary Washington, sees Obama as "bin Laden's dream candidate."
She believes, Al-Qaeda would likely "exploit his background to argue that an apostate is leading the global war on terror … to galvanize sympathizers into action."
Mainstream Muslims tend to tiptoe around this topic. An Egyptian supporter of Obama, Yasser Khalil, reports that many Muslims react "with bewilderment and curiosity" when Obama is described as a Muslim apostate; Josie Delap and Robert Lane Greene of the Economist even claim that the Obama-as-apostate theme "has been notably absent" among Arabic-language columnists and editorialists.
That latter claim is inaccurate, for the topic is indeed discussed. At least one Arabic-language newspaper published Burki's article. Kuwait's Al-Watan referred to Obama as "a born Muslim, an apostate, a convert to Christianity." Writing in the Arab Times, Syrian liberal Nidal Na‘isa repeatedly called Obama an "apostate Muslim."
In sum, Muslims puzzle over Obama's present religious status. They resist his self-identification as a Christian while they assume a baby born to a Muslim father and named "Hussein" began life a Muslim. [With inputs from Internet]

Why did Mr.Barrack Obama pair Christianity with Islam in the inaugural speech??

"Christians and Muslims": Mr.Barrack Hussein Obama's inaugural speech contained a startling formulation: "The United States is a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus and non-believers." Hugh Fitzgerald comments on it at JihadWatch.org:
Obama delivering his inaugural speech, Jan. 20, 2009.The traditional formulation has always paired "Christians" with "Jews"—"Christians and Jews." Such a blatant change, then, in that traditional formulation is sure to attract notice. It invites inspection. It disturbs.

The order in which these adherents of different faiths are named, and which is paired with the obviously, and rightly, dominant "Christians" (this country, the US, was both founded on Christian or, to include the Old Testament, Judeo-Christian principles, and owes its development right up to the present day to those same ideas, enshrined in our political and legal institutions which are, after all, the best thing America has to offer) both count. …on what basis did Obama make the decision to move up "Muslims" in the ranking, right after, or even possibly paired with, Christians, leaving the Jews demoted, in a sense?

It cannot be on the basis of population, for there are twice as many Jews in the United States as there are Muslims. … Was this one more attempt to impress on the public the notion that we must appease Muslims, we must make of them something they are not in this country, in order to hold onto their loyalty that otherwise is in danger of being lost?

Moreover, A backlash among conservative Christians, including African-American ones, has taken place to the inaugural speech phrase quoted here, reports AOL News. The upset has partly to do with the inclusion of "non-believers" and partly with the list of faiths.

Japan executes four convicted killers-all four men were hanged, Japan's primary method of execution
Seems the barbaric administrations who root for obsolete laws are present only in some countries; as far a Capital Punishment is concerned...
By the way majority opinion could be wrong, like it happened in case of Galileo Galilei (15 February 1564– 8 January 1642). So when we speak of democracy we have take into consideration this aberration also.
From Kyung Lah TOKYO, Japan -- Japan executed four convicted killers on death row Thursday, the government said, marking the first set of executions in the country since October 2008.
Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso has to sign execution certificates before the death penalty can be carried out.
All four men were hanged, Japan's primary method of execution, the Justice Ministry said. The ministry identified the inmates a 58-year-old Tadashi Makino, convicted of killing four women in separate home invasion robberies, 44-year-old Yukinari Kawamura and 39-year-old Tetsuya Sato, both convicted of killing two women and burning their bodies in steel barrels and 32-year-old Shojiro Nishimoto, convicted of killing four people in separate home invasion robberies.
The executions represented blatant human rights violations, said Amnesty International spokesman Makoto Teranaka.
"Japan is going against the rest of the world by increasing the pace of executions, at a time when other countries are slowing their pace."
Japan's death penalty policy has not seen any major public opposition and few protest these executions. To that, Teranaka said: "The Japanese government's explanation was that public opinion favored the executions of these men. We are angry that they choose public opinion over human rights. To form a balanced public opinion is the government's responsibility."
Japan executed 15 inmates in 2008 and 95 more currently sit on death row. Japan's rate of executions since August 2007 has been approximately one execution every two to three months.
The nation experienced an informal moratorium on capital punishment when Seiken Sugiura, Justice Minister from 2005 - 06 under Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, publicly stated he would not sign the execution orders, based on his Buddhist beliefs. Japan's justice minister needs to sign off on the execution certificates for the death penalty to be carried out.
According to Amnesty International, 59 nations still allow the death penalty for what the organization calls "ordinary crimes." The group describes "exceptional crimes" as those committed in circumstances such as war.

TALIBANISATION OF THE INDIAN MEDIA...??!!
Yes, you have heard it right!! The "Talibanisation of the Great Indian Media" is happening slowly and very slyly.
Before I delve in this topic let me tell what I meant by the term, "Talibanisation".
I think everyone of you who watch Television Channels have heard the name of Talibans of Afghanistan who are known to promote a particular type of thought process---good or bad.
Their decisions are unilateral or they do not care whether there is another side of any story/event.
In a similar way, the Indian Media off late has been behaving in "Talibanish way"---trying to promote a culture which they think is correct.
Starting from the days of Arushi Case to the Latest happenings in Mangalore, we have seen enough of "Faces of Media Terrorists", who have created havoc to the Indian Families, before their guilt had been established. What is more important is that, "They are still unapologetic" about the trauma they caused to some families without those families found guilt in the cases and government is letting these breed of "Talibans" go off Scot free.
It is true that whatever has happened in Mangalore is unfortunate and should not have happened, but let me highlight some of the fact of the "Talibanese Media" who are bent of promoting "Free-Sex, Alcoholism, Prostitution in Public Places, Gender Bias, Politicians like Renuka Choudhury/Digvijay Singh, who are known to humiliate the Hindus", etc.
My fight against these "Talibans" would continue but for the moment let me concentrate on the events in Mangalore and how the "Talibans in Indian Society came to the rescue of pub-culture in India".
1. The manner in which the things progressed before the incident, during the incident and after the incident are really sad. This event should not have happened if the Pub Owner was taken to task after complaints from the local public. On the other side, no one has the right to take law on their own hands---this is dangerous and should be condemned.
2. If there were complaints regarding some illicit trade/activities going inside the pub, then why did the police not take any action against that pub owner or the girls and boys who were involved in those events; before the situation turned worst.
3. Why everyone is talking of women being molested??!! What about the boys who were also assaulted in the said incident? Is it not a gender bias?? Why is the media channels, promoting a gender bias? Moreover, who is Shobha Dey to comment whether people should protest against pub-culture or not?? If she and some of her drunkard friends in NDTV Ltd, Congress Party or Times Today, likes/wants to promote "The Drinking or Boozing" pub-culture in Bangalore and throughout India, they are welcome in a immature democracy like India; but let her not give sermons saying, "that those who promote pub-culture are progressive and those who root for milk-culture are regressive". We have enough wisdom to understand what is good or bad.
We don’t want to see the shadow of Barkha Dutt in Sohba De. Ms. Barkha Dutt finds time to meet the Chief Minister of a state called Jammu and Kashmir, which contributes almost negligible revenues to the Indian Union, but hardly gets time to meet the Chief Minister of Assam---a state which contributes huge revenues to India, from Tea Gardens and Coal and Petroleum. I have never in my life heard both these ladies speak for the people of Assam or about looting of revenues from Assam, by the central government and spending this money elsewhere.
4. Why is the media after Mr.Mutalik, when things could/might have been happened without his consent? If the media can solve all the cases then what is the use of any judicial system in India. We could have trial by the media and hang a person---I call this "Talibanisation of the Indian Media….."
5. There is a difference between pub culture and Indian Culture. One has to define what Indian culture is before they can relate Indian Culture with the pub culture. Indian culture includes the culture of all the tribes and sub-tribes in India (especially those from North East, West Bengal and Bihar/Jharkhand), who do drink their home made alcohol during festival time--but this is not "Pub--culture".
6. When will the barbarism of the media stop?? We are tired of the media hooliganism. Last year a well educated doctor’s family from Uttar Pradesh was a victim of media anarchy ---I am talking of Arushi Talwar case. What has the government done to book those media personals who were responsible for causing trauma to the family of Arushi Talwar? It is surprising that the perpetrators of the crime are still at large and are showing their faces in various media channels---no arrests have been made till date.
7. Labeling charges against someone does not make him a criminal and I hope Mr.Arnab Goswami does not make the same mistake again. Times Now, surprisingly came out with a long list of charges against Mr.Mutalik, saying he has criminal background. Has the charges been proved Mr.Goswami. Who are you fooling?? What about Mr.Laloo Yadav, Ms.Mayawati, Mr.Jaylalitha, Mr.Shabuddin?? How did the present democratic set up allow them to stand for elections or allowed them occupy such high posts?
7. Becoming progressive does not mean one has to take alcohol and indulge in prostitution in public places?? Which culture says we should encourage, drunkards, alcoholics, prostitution on public places, etc??
8. What has the government done to clip the wings of media channels which present fabricated news? During the Mumbai attack, a TV Channel came up with false news that firing has again starting in CST, Mumbai, which led to a near stampede situation there… Why were erring TV Personnel/journalists has still not been hooked and booked by the police for spreading wrong information to the masses. If people make mistake media highlights them to make money but when they themselves commit crimes they just try to cover them up….This is another example of "Talibanisation of Indian Media". The Indian media is trying to thrust their "junks" through our throats in our stomachs and brains.
9. Why till now media has not come up with any report what was actually happening inside that pub, before the incidents took place. Many were saying that the said pub was promoting a prostitution racket. Has some liquor companies paid heavily to the Indian media, to promote Pub-Culture??
10. The way or the manner in which those young men protested may be wrong, but then why only negative of any movement be projected??
If the media goons should not try to inject their "Garbage" into the young minds. Government should take strong measures so that such cultural invasion get stopped.

“On December 31, there were eight such incidents in Mumbai. Some girls were raped. Why is the Centre silent about it?” Pramod Mutalik
Sri Ram Sena allegedly takes law in their own hands to drive off the girls/boys from a Pub (a place where people go to drink alcohol) in Mangalore. According to Mr.Mutalik, the police did not take any action against the pub owner even though local residents complained about the illicit activities going inside it.........
National Commission of Women, The Congress Party, some media channels including Times Now, NDTV Ltd and some other socio-political organisations comes to the rescue of girls who were allegedly having drinks (alcohol) and perfoming/doing some illicit activities, inside that pub........
Should people (vested interest groups) give encouragement and shelter to Drunkards, Drug Addicts, Prostitutes (or Prostitution in public places), etc....??!! Just take some minutes from your busy schedules and think....
It is known to all how strong the domestic liquor lobby is.....and even the Indian Government gets huge amounts of revenues from these liquor companies---so the pub-culture continues.....
Ram Sena on pub attack: We're custodians of Indian Culture
MANGALORE: Sri Ram Sena (SRS) founder Pramod Mutalik has said there is no need to raise a hue and cry about the Mangalore pub attack on women on Saturday. He also said that the SRS activists did not attack the girls but the boys who had brought them to the pub.
On Monday, the Mangalore police arrested seven more SRS activists taking the total to 20. The 13 arrested earlier on Sunday were remanded to judicial custody till January 27.
The Dakshina Kannada district police have served a notice on the electronic media for their failure to inform the police about the attack. Commenting on the incident, Mutalik told TOI that women were being misused and misguided. “We oppose this. Women have to be protected as the law has failed. Parents are worried about their wards going astray in materialistic pursuits. We are the custodians of Indian culture,” he said.
Mutalik is the national president of the right-wing political group, Rashtriya Hindu Sena. The SRS, founded in late 2007, is its militant outfit. When it was pointed out that several girls had been assaulted by the SRS activists, Mutalik said, “I apologize if such a thing has happened. The mode of execution was wrong. But there is no need to raise such a hue and cry about the incident.”
He further claimed that the brouhaha over the incident was an attempt to sully the name of the BJP state government.
“On December 31, there were eight such incidents in Mumbai. Some girls were raped. Why is the Centre silent about it?” he asked. Three major radical outfits in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district operate with three different agendas. These right-wing groups operate without treading on each other’s toes. Bajrang Dal opposes conversions. Hindu Janajagrithi Samithi works against denigrating Hindu gods in any form.
The main agenda of SRS is putting an end to fashion shows, which they say denigrates Hindu culture. SRS is an offshoot of the Bajrang Dal. It was born as the Karnataka unit of the Shiv Sena, when Bajrang Dal state convener Pramod Mutalik walked out in a huff after being sidelined by the BJP over cow slaughter. Since then the Karnataka unit of the Shiv Sena has ceased to exist and SRS was born in 2007 after Shiv Sena took a pro-Maharashtra stand on the Belgaum issue.
All these outfits operate with impunity, without fear of the law. Meanwhile, Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said it was unfortunate that people had taken the law into their hands. “We have given a free hand for the police to arrest them,” he said.
Times View
Organisations like the Sri Ram Sena are emboldened to act as they did in Mangalore because the cost-benefit equation works out very well for them. The benefit from such boorish moral policing is in the form of national publicity that lures fresh recruits to the ‘cause’. And the cost is possible arrest and a very short jail term. It’s important, therefore, to raise the costs. In this case, for instance, they could be charged under Section 153A that deals with offences against public tranquillity and carries a sentence of up to three years. It must be used not just against the actual miscreants, but also office-bearers of the Sena. Rigorous prosecution leading to conviction should help persuade them to desist from such anti-social behaviour in future.

Why Indian Media And RAW Want To Kill Muslims?
DR. ABDUL RUFF COLACHAL
This is one of sample-fabricated articles which daily appear in sections of Pakistani Media. It goes to show how the communal forces have brain-washed even the elite in Pakistan. If this is what comes out from the brains of person who holds a doctorate degree, we can understand the condition of civil society in Pakistan!! I have often mentioned that Islamisation of Pakistan has killed the Civil Society there....
It seems majority population in Pakistan only think of Muslims and Muslims with scant respect for other religions or non-believers like me. This is a dangerous concept and the world population should think seriously about this trend, which is spreading like wide fire throughout the world.
Even Asma Jahangir, who claims to be a human rights activist in Pakistan, is just a farce, which is evident from her latest interview in a private media channel.
This article talks of killing of Kashmiris by the Indian Security Forces but does not mention anything about the ethnic cleansing of the Hindus of Kashmir by the Islamist forces. Or, on why the security forces are taking such extreme steps??!!
The article talks of destruction of Babri Masjid, a place of worship where no one went to pray post independence and is a symbol of aggression of Babar, one of the worst Mughals, that Indians had seen.
The above facts are to be understood in the context that more than 80% of the Muslims in India are converts from Hinduism and some of them might be due to forceful conversions done by the Invading armies from Central Asia, they captured their kingdoms and desecrated their places of worship.....
While there were rumours that sterilisation process was initiated by late Sanjoy Gandhi, the younger son of late Indira Gandhi, during emergency, the article goes to show that only Muslims were victims of that period of Congress Rule, winking at the broader canvas......
The article also does not mention why the Parsis from Arab had to flee their own country and settle in India. Moreover, the article is silent on the presecution of Bahais in Iran by the intolent Islamic Authorities. It is worth mentioning that the founder of the Baha'i Faith is Bahaullah (1817-1892), a title meaning "Glory of God" . Throughout the history of the Faith, the Baháís of Iran have been persecuted. In the mid-1800s, some 20,000 followers were killed by the authorities or by mobs, who viewed the infant movement as heretical to Islam.
Haleh Rouhi, Sasan Taqva and Raha Sabet were taken into custody by the Iranian government in November 2007. They are serving a four-year sentence on charges connected entirely with their belief and practice in the Baha'i Faith.
In the twentieth century, periodic outbreaks of violence were directed against Baháís in Iran, and the government often used Baháís as a scapegoat. In 1933, for example, Bahá’í literature was banned, Bahá’í marriages were not recognized, and Baháís in public service were demoted or fired. In 1955, the government oversaw the demolition of the Bahá’í national center in Tehran with pickaxes.
In 1979, with the establishment of an Islamic Republic, the persecutions took a new direction, becoming an official government policy and being pursued in a systematic way. Since that year, more than 200 Baháís have been executed or killed, hundreds more have been imprisoned, and tens of thousands have been deprived of jobs, pensions, businesses, and educational opportunities. All national Bahá’í administrative structures were banned by the government, and holy places, shrines, and cemeteries were confiscated, vandalized, or destroyed.
In the face of intense international pressure, the Iranian government gradually halted the executions and greatly reduced the number of Baháís held in prison. Yet the wholesale persecution and oppression of Iranian Baháís continues, though in a manner that seems designed to evade the scrutiny of international human rights monitors.
In recent years, Baháís have been subject to revolving-door arrests and detentions calculated to sow terror among Iranian Baháís. Some of the prisoners, for example, were held incommunicado, in unknown locations, while their families desperately searched for them. In addition, government agents conducted prolonged searches of many of their homes, confiscating documents, books, computers, copiers and other belongings.
The 350,000-member Bahá’í community comprises the largest religious minority in that country, and Baháís have been oppressed solely because of religious hatred. Islamic fundamentalists in Iran and elsewhere have long viewed the Bahá’í Faith as a threat to Islam, branding Baháís as heretics and apostates. The progressive position of the Faith on women’s rights, independent investigation of truth, and education has particularly rankled Muslim clerics.
In June 1983, for example, the Iranian authorities arrested ten Bahá’í women and girls. The charge against them: teaching children’s classes on the Bahá’í Faith — the equivalent of Sunday school in the West.
The Iranian government has put in place measures to suffocate the Bahá’í community through extensive social and economic restrictions. It has destroyed Bahá’í holy sites, blocked Baháís from obtaining business licenses and other means of livelihood, and harassed Bahá’í school children
The women were subjected to intense physical and mental abuse in an effort to coerce them to recant their Faith — an option that is always pressed on Bahá’í prisoners. Yet, like most Baháís who were arrested in Iran, they refused to deny their beliefs. As a result, they were executed.
Anyway, this article tried to paint all the Indians with the same brush, as if no one cried foul when the happenings in Gujarat took place!! This is the most disgusting part, and could be one of the causes for the Mumbai Attack by the Radical Islamists, trooping in from Pakistan.
The articles also do not mention about what is being done by the Radical Islamic forces in Israel.
The article also never mentioned about the ordeal of people irrespective of their religious identity in the latest Mumbai attack. In the latest Mumbai attack lot of Muslims lost their lives unnecessarily.....
The article denigrate Hinduism or non-Muslims to such an extent that I think someone should launch a PIL in Indian Supreme Courts so that such kind of malicious articles do not appear anywhere in the world media.
The article says, "Arab nations are growingly under pressure from USA and other global terrorist nations to change regimes and teach the pupils the western culture and dilute the Islamic way of thinking". The author did not describe, what is meant by "His" Islamic way of thinking!! Is it "Killing of Kafirs (non-believers)"??!!
The article goes on to say, "Islamists believe that the essence of the scriptures i.e. Quran, Sunnah and Hadith cannot be diluted in any manner and the purpose of Islam must remain synchronous with the Prophet’s vision". If Christianity and Hinduism can be reformed, I do not understand why Islam cannot be reformed to suit modern societies??!! After all religion is a way of living and can function with or without the mention of some "imaginary force" called God or Allah.
The fanatic author says, "Hindu land does not want anyone one to teach Islam, but popularize Hinduism, its “great” traditions, vulture culture, destructive principles leading to demolition of Grand Babri Mosque. In fact this funny world has managed to influence quite a lot of Muslims to their way of thinking against the Islam and Muslims". But it does not mention how the Talibanisation pushed the women in Afghanistan in dark days and once vibrant Kabul to grave-yard of death and destruction. The article also does not mention about the draconian Blasphemy laws in Pakistan/in other Arab Countries, due to which many Christians/non-Muslims are finding their place in Gallows. If criticising something can put someone to the death bed, we can understand what the rules in "Sharia" stand for....!! Some sociologist said, "It is dangerous even for the Muslims....."
Moreover, the elite author is silent on the destruction of old very Buddhist Statues in Afghanistan by the "Radical Islamic forces".
BUT WHAT IS MOST LAMENTING/PATHETIC IS THAT THE ARTICLE DENIGRATES AND CONDEMNS THE MODERATE MUSLIMS TO GARBAGE. It is to be appreciated that most of the Indian Muslims are different from the rest of the world and do not believe in the destructive ideology propagated by the likes of Al-Queda. During the Iraq or Afghanistan war, none of the Indian Muslims crossed the border to fight the coalition forces----this is Indian culture unlike what most of the Pakistanis propagate.
I THINK TIME HAS COME FOR THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO ERASE THE BOUNDARIES OF THIS TERRORIST STATE CALLED PAKISTAN AND MERGE IT WITH INDIA SO THAT PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD CAN LIVE IN PEACE.
HOWEVER, SOME FACTS IN THE ARTICLE MIGHT BE TRUE AND SHOULD BE APPRECIATED.......
EVER since Indian separatists got Independence from British colonialists in 1947, one of the objectives of Indian government agencies has been to reduce the Muslim population of India and make the Hindu population deciding the destiny of India. The Indian efforts reached its high pitch during the dreadful Indian emergency era when Muslims were forcefully administered sterilizations to control Muslim population and increase Hindu pollution accordingly.
In fact, the Hindutva forces keep harping on the subject quite openly in front of the police and other security forces guarding their speakers without any possible protests from Muslims. In every political outfit in the country, a good portion of people are Hindutva minded. All this ended the first phase of Hindu militancy when in 1992 the Hindu terrorists pulled down the historic Babri Mosque with the full protection of Indian police and other security forces. However, the Indian terrorist attacks in Kashmir continue unabated with thousands of innocent Kashmir Muslims already killed there.
India can read the US and other anti-Islamic minds easily. It is quite certain there have been concerted efforts by all anti-Islamic forces to strongly contain and effectively control Islam, Islamic world and the Muslims. Now the global Muslim stands terribly terrorized. Arab nations are growingly under pressure from USA and other global terrorist nations to change regimes and teach the pupils the western culture and dilute the Islamic way of thinking.
The way the Indian secret services, other security agencies and their loyal India media try to place the Hindu terrorism in Indian towns, including the latest one in Mumbai, is incredible and atrocious, to state the least, for a country which boast of great traditions of secularism and has plenty of “democratic credentials”. The media almost die along with those who got killed in the ghastly terror attacks each time, but they continue to make cash out of these inhuman acts as well by writing about “terrorism” and linking it some how to Muslims. None of the poisonous media give up a single meal out of sympathy or pains for the deceased. One can call it Indian hypocrisy, but better to call it Indian anti-Muslims hypocrisy.
The same media never think Kashmiri murders by Indian terror forces also need condemnations and exposure for punishment. That is anti-Muslim hypocrisy of Indian media, political outfits and intelligence wings. A death of Muslims is sidelined, while that of Hindus is put on the front page to create hatred against that section of society which is even other wise on the receiving end and denied its due share in national development and legitimate benefits.
Not only the media-cum-intelligence hide the available evidence to put the Hindu terrorists in a tight corner so as to let the security forces do their business well, but they have painstakingly tired all the leaned tricks to blame the Muslims for the blasts and make the real Hindu terrorists escape with official Indian security. Obviously, the media and services know it is enough to amen a few Muslims in a terror attack any where in the world. Intelligence and media let Hindus to enjoy life as usual torturing and insulting Muslims in India and killing them in Kashmir, none will question. Because, the USA, the global terrorists, are with India and seemingly supports its nefarious activities in India, Kashmir and the region.
Islamists believe that the essence of the scriptures i.e. Quran, Sunnah and Hadith cannot be diluted in any manner and the purpose of Islam must remain synchronous with the Prophet’s vision. But the anti-Islamic forces and their breeding nations like USA, Israel, UK and India are bent upon defaming the true spirits of Islam and torture Muslims. India appreciates contamination of Islam and therefore finds Sufi Islam which is seen as a by-product of Hinduism or Hindutva virtues. Sufi Islam is promoted by India for its own cause of Hindutva. It conditioned the Islamic mindset to the acceptance of co-existence with other cultures and religions. Its core was impacted by Hindu philosophy, Bhakti movements and new strains within it such as Akbar’s Deen-e-Ilahi. The result was a broad based coexistence of Islam with all other religions in India.
Islam continues to flourish on its own, its own strength as the best possible human way of life, despite the faulty models presented by the practitioners of the faith who live among the non -Muslim majority. Indian Muslims seek only fortunes and material comforts by appeasing the Hindus and their political leaders. The RAW, on its own, brands Islam shabbily in as many ways as it could imagine. India creates all possible obstructions of Muslims.
Hindu fanatics argue India is a land of Hindus. Focused on anti-Pakistnism, anti-Kashmirism and anti-Islamism, the RAW thinks Indian Islam grows, against all terrorist scheming of Indian strategic wings, including media and it shamelessly says that unrestrained and uninterrupted "supply of Wahabi funds" from foreign sources has provided oxygen to their activities and advocate to take on Islam. Hindu Talibanists argue that Islam should pro-Hindutva. Hindu Al-Qaeda wants to have several hidden Hindutva organizations and blame Lashkar-e-Taiba, Harkat-ul-Mujahiddeen and Hizbul-e-Jihad-e-Islami, among others from Pakistan other Islamic countries for its failure to Hinduize the Christian nations. RAW wants Christian and Jews to join the Hindutva outfits to target Muslims and Islamic world by using “fundamentalism” plank and aided by state terror worldwide. Many of these anti-Islamic governments spread rumors, quite effectively, with global media support, that the Islamists will sooner or later be able to lay their hands on a nuclear device, causing mass destruction or disorder somewhere.
The anti-Islamic forces try hard to coerce Muslims to criticize Islam, possible outright rejection of Islamic values which are now universal in vast parts of the world and support the Hindu- and other anti-Islamic poisonous dreams. Hindu land does not want anyone one to teach Islam, but popularize Hinduism, its “great” traditions, vulture culture, destructive principles leading to demolition of Grand Babri Mosque. In fact this funny world has managed to influence quite a lot of Muslims to their way of thinking against the Islam and Muslims. Worse, several Muslim media men also have joined the anti-Islamic band wagons, by coercion.
It is known fact that India does not want Muslims t live peacefully in the country doing their work. Indian intelligence-cum-media provoke Muslims by statements that are too crude and dirty for any human mind to accept silently or ignore as Hindu devils work. RAW very cunning coin phrases to ignite troubles among Muslims and with Hindus. RAW is annoyed with the fact a Muslim Vice Chancellor in New Delhi seeing injustice done to two of students and coming ahead for assisting them legally. India intelligence argues that if Indian media blames a Muslim for any terror activities, no one should come to his or her rescue, including the courts. Hindu India is keen to silence every opposition to Indian hidden agenda.
Post-script
Today, Muslims in India and world at large terrorized by anti-Islamic forces to discredit Islam and infiltrate into non-Muslim populations for conversion purposes are going through hard times. Even when they are pretty sure of the involvement of anti-Islamic forces in terrorism activities they still prefer to blame the Muslims and care not to expose the forces injurious to Muslims and Islam. World has enough evidence for Hindu terrorism in Indian towns for political and anti-Muslim purposes, including the latest Mumbai trials. One does not know if Muslim journalists and editors, who feel some what ashamed of being Muslims among other anti-Islamic tribes, would ever realize their own folly in aiding the anti-Islamic poisonous designs. Muslim leaders are discouraged and threatened against expressing distrust of the police motivation and investigation. Of course, the official logic being a Muslim vice-chancellor is officially debarred from making and, therefore, not expected to make, even statements against lies of the government and its agencies.
Indian and other anti-Islamic media and intelligence wings argue against Muslims and state they should be killed if media or security personnel say they are bad. One doe s not how much money is being pumped into this smear anti-Islamic campaign by all these anti-Muslim nations, but the Muslim editors also seem to receive a share from them for their support which the world media need badly.
The answer to the question: why Indian media and RAW focus on anti-Islamism, anti-Pakistnism, why it wants to insult, torture, keep under tension and kill Muslims? could, if at all, be found in Indian media and the statements of the intelligence wings!
