SC defers Sanjay Dutt's plea for extension of surrender deadline till tomorrow
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear actor Sanjay Dutt's plea seeking more time to surrender to undergo remaining jail term in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. The court deferred the hearing on Sanjay Dutt's plea for tomorrow.
The actor had pleaded that he should be granted more time to surrender in order to complete his film projects as around Rs 300 crore has been invested by the producers in these projects.
Dutt has to surrender by April 18. He has asked for six months to surrender.
