Sikh Forum submits memo to PM for mercy to Bhullar
JALANDHAR: Three former Army officers, a former civil servant and some
other prominent Sikh intellectuals have submitted a memorandum to Prime
Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, seeking commutation of death sentence
awarded to Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar.
Submitted by the Sikh Forum, the memorandum has been signed by Maj Gen (Retd) M S Chadha, president of Sikh Forum, Wg Cdr (Retd) R S Chhatwal, Col Manohar Singh, former IAS Tirlochan Singh, prominent writer Dr Maheep Singh and Dr A S Narang, among others.
Chhatwal said that the memorandum had the
approval of a vast number of other intellectuals, scholars, advocates,
businessmen, educationists and professionals in various fields.
