SIKH ORGANIZATION SUBMIT OVER 8.1 MILLION SIGNATURES IN SUPPORT OF PROF. BHULLAR - WORLDWIDE SUPPORT
Sikhs submissions over 8.1 million signatures
in support of Prof. Bhullar
NEW DELHI (KP) - Sikh organizations marched from Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab to Delhi and on behalf of 8.1 million citizens, demanded clemency and justice for Prof. Devenderpal Singh Bhullar.

Representatives of various Sikh organizations launched the protest march started from the historic Gurdwara Jyoti Swarup Sahib.

Over 8.1 million signatures have been collected for a petition seeking clemency for Prof. Bhullar. The petition has been submitted the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.

The Sikh organization also requested the Punjab Government to convene a special session of state Assembly and pass a resolution favoring clemency for Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar.eanwhile, demonstrations, and vigils have been held across the globe from London to Vancouver in support of the Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar.

The Supreme Court on April 12th, 2013 rejected the clemency petition of Devinderpal Singh Bhullar, and has condemned him to death. To a poser on these developments, Steiner said that his country's President had requested Indian government to do away with the death penalty.
Charges against Bhai Devender Singh Bhullar were framed by Indian Authorities under the controversial and now defunct TADA laws of the 1980s and 1990s for an alleged attack on Youth Congress leader Maninder Bitta on September 11, 1993.
