Madhuri Dixit croons with mother for Gulab Gang
Mother of two- Arin and Ryan, Madhuri Dixit left Bollywood at the peak of her career to be a full time mom. She is all set to make a second comeback with Dedh Ishqiya and Gulab Gang. |
Madhuri Dixit may have danced her way into the hearts of millions of fans over the years and now the actress, who is all set to make her comeback with the film Gulab Gang, will be donning a new avatar.
In fact Madhuri will be flexing her vocal chords for the film and that too alongside her mother Snehlata Dixit, making it a first for the mother daughter duo.
Apparently, the decision to have Madhuri sing happened when the makers of the film noticed a particular sequence that needed the actress (played by Madhuri) to break out into a song in the first half. It was then that they decided on converting the sequence into a full fledged song.
Talking about this, producer Anubhav Sinha says, "We had decided to do the track with Madhuri, and then she came there with her mother. It was in fact Soumik's idea to use both of them for the track, since her mother has a background in singing."
The recording was completed recently at Empire Studios in Andheri. With this, Madhuri joins the club of Bollywood celebrities who have also tried a hand at singing - Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, among others.
