Should The Founder Of Islam Worship Jesus Christ?
To find the answer to this question we need to take the help of both the Qur'aan and the Bible and then put forward the required arguments. To maintain consistency, I have taken cues from the most authentic translations of the Qur'aan and the Bible.

Now, to begin with, we need to first clear out the fact that according to the Christian Philosophy, the Father (The God of the Bible), Jesus and the Holy Spirit always works in perfect union or in unison with each other. Or in other words according to Christian beliefs, they are not three separate gods or entities, but though distinct, they work in perfect harmony with each other, i.e, they do not work independently but exist as one God. This principle is adopted here, to explain the things.

Now let us first begin with the Bible and consider a few of the verses from there, we can come down to Qur'aa later.

(i)  27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one. [John: 10: 27-30: King James Bible "Authorized Version", Cambridge Edition]

Watch the last verse, where Jesus says He and His Father are one. And then the verse 28 where Jesus claims that "He can give eternal life; and they shall never perish".

Does it sound like Jesus is equivalent to God? These verses also say, Jesus is the Son of God. I have already mentioned earlier that according to Christian Philosophy, The God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit works in Unison.

Now let us see what Qur'aan says in Chapter, 43 (Az-Zukhruf), Verse Number-81: The Noble Qur'an:

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "If the Most Beneficent (Allâh) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of  Allâh's worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allâh Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabarî].

Hazarat Muhammad says, that if the God had a Son, He would have worshiped Him. Now Jesus claims to be son of God. Hence, according to Qur'aan, Hazarat Muhammad, should worship Jesus Christ. Isn't it?

But then the question could arise why should the Muslims follow what is written in the Bible, because Qur'aan talks of single entity which is "Allah" while in the Bible speaks of the "Trinity"?

To get answer to this question we again need to visit the Qur'aan and see what it says regarding the Bible. In this context let us look at the Chapter: 2 (Al-Baqarah), Verse Number: 4: The Noble Qur'an:

4 And who believe in (the Qur'ân and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him) and in [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.).

Now, the above verses from Qur'aan clearly asks Muslims to follow the "Bible". The point which needs to be noted here is that, Hazarat Muhammad was an illiterate person, but modern day Muslims can read the Bible and are therefore, is supposed to worship Jesus Christ, following the "Sunna" of Muhammad. Isn't it? This proves that, Hazarat Muhammad, should have worshiped Jesus, if He was alive.

The problem with Islam is that, it starts with Unitarianism (none should be worshiped besides "Allah") but then goes on to support the "Trinity" (Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit) as is mentioned in the Bible.

To give further teeth to this argument, let us consider, the following verses from the Bible, which speaks about the authority of the Son of God, Jesus Christ:

19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father[e] does, that the Son does likewise. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises
the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. 22 The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.......28 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear
his voice 29 and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. [The Bible: John: 19-29: English Standard Version]

This gives, Jesus the authority to do things that God wants to do. Does it sound that Jesus is God?

Now take a few verses from Qur'aan meticulously observe them: Chapter-22: Al-Hajj: 6-9: The Noble Qur'an:

6 That is because Allâh, He is the Truth, and it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who is Able to do all things.
7 And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it, and certainly, Allâh will resurrect those who are in the graves.

Now Qur'aan says, "Allah (The God of Qur'aan) will raise those who are dead", but in the Bible, it is Jesus Christ who says, that by the sound of His voice, all who are  in the tombs will and come out. This implies that Jesus had magical powers of God which is perhaps lacking in Hazarat Muhammad.

Thus according to the Bible, Jesus, is equally powerful as Father (God), while in case of Qur'aan, Hazarat Muhammad is dependent on "Allah".

Also, in the verses above, Jesus says he is the final Judge (The Son of God is actually going to judge people). But it is well known in case of Islam who is the Final Judge.

So, the basic theory is that Bible says, Jesus should be worshiped along with God, while the Qur'aan says, none can be worshipped except Allah.

And, therefore, at the end, it can be concluded that all Muslims (and their founder) should worship Jesus as God.
