Bus Set On Fire Near Baitul Mukarram Mosque, Dhaka
One bus was set on fire near the north gate of Baitul Mukarram mosque in Dhaka’s Paltan on Sunday.
It was not immediately clear who were responsible for the arson that happened around 1:00 pm.
The attack took place hours after a Jamaat-e-Islami leader from Sylhet was arrested in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, BNP and its partners will enforce two days of daylong, nationwide shutdowns starting Monday to demand release of its leaders and activists detained from the party headquarters.
Mostafa Mohsin, a Senior Station Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Ramna Zone, said the firefighters were on their way to douse the flames.
