Shahbagh protesters to submit memo to PM to ban Jamaat-e-Islami
Dhaka, Mar 26 (UNB) – Shahbagh protesters will submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on April 4 demanding a ban on Jamaat politics as their ultimatum to start legal steps by March 26 to ban the party went unheeded.
They will also march towards Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 11 am on March 31 to submit mass signatures collected in favour of their six-point demand to the Speaker.
Imran H Sarkar, convener of Bloggers and Online Activists Network and the spokesperson of Ganajagaran Mancha, announced the programmes from a rally held at Shahbagh Prajanma Chattar on Tuesday.
The Ganajagaran Mancha will also hold a rally on April 6 to press for their demands.
Earlier on February 21, the Shahbagah protesters demanded that the government start legal steps by March 26 to ban the Jamaat politics for their anti-liberation role and terrorist acts.
